Jealous People

I really need to vent here! I am so angry at all of the jealous people in my life who are trying to slowly, but surely sabotage my new way of living. I don't understand why people are so jealous that I am losing weight and they are not. I have had people tell me I am starving myself, I won't get very far, and that I don't need to lose any more. Hello...I way in the 200's and I eat healthy whenever I am hungry. I don't understand why people can't just be happy for others who are doing things and going places. If you are not going to join and support the band wagon, then get the hell off of it!

Slo's super smoothie: WW friendly

Here is a simple recipe for a tasty smoothie that is delicious, easy to make, and will not destroy any weight loss plan you are on. For the WW's plan it includes your 2 sources of dairy, two fruit, and a daily fat. Here are your needed ingredients:

* Low fat milk or soy milk if you prefer (vanilla flavor will add an extra sweetness to the smoothie without a load of calories. (2 points)
*one cup of Weight Watchers yogurt in a flavor similar to the chosen fruits.(1 point)
* 3/4 a cup of Wyman's fresh frozen fruit in mixed berries (0 point- yes that is right!)
* one banana (one point)
**Optional ingredients: protein powder (point: depends on product/amount) , olive oil (daily fat intake- 1 point)

Total Value: Straight forward without additional ingredients listed above 4 points. With oil: 5 points. With protein powder: You must calculate the points according to the amount used and the back nutritional info on the container since no protein powder is created equal.

* This recipe creates about 20 oz of smoothie...just an estimate...so you can tweak the recipe to get a smaller or larger batch. I drank the whole recipe slowly as I worked on the computer and it kept me full for hours.

The directions: In a blender mix all of the above ingredients together and that's it! So simple! The frozen berries is a great substitute than adding ice because it chills the ingredients and saves the blades in your blender: no more ice chips! YAY! The flavored yogurt adds an extra boost in flavor and texture. Enjoy!

Not the happiest day of my life

Every little girl knows that the happiest days of their lives are their weddings and the birth of any children they may have. For me, my wedding day was not the happiest day. I was pushing 300 pounds (286 pounds), very uncomfortable in my dress, and completely consumed on how much of a whale I felt and looked. The happiest day of my life came months after my marriage: December 1, 2008 when I decided to make a change and joined Weight Watchers. From that date to January 19, 2008 I have lost a total of 17 pounds and I am never looking back. My first MAJOR goal is to be out of the 200's so I can do my wedding over again the right way so it can truly be the happiest day of my life.

Sweethearts Weight Loss Challenge

For those who have not visited my youtube page or are not familiar with me I have started my own weight loss challenge called "The Sweetheart Weight Loss Challenge". For this challenge I am asking my subscribers and friends to pick out an outfit or purchase a new one that is one or two sizes too small. The challenge is to fit into that special outfit by Valentine's Day to celebrate our loss. This challenge is carried out over a period of 7 weeks. If you are just now viewing this challenge please pick an outfit that fits, but you want to fit a lot better. Here is the outfit I am trying to fit into in time.

Feeling Good

Let me tell all of you: I HAVE BEEN FEELING GREAT since losing weight! However, after 6 weeks of healthy eating I have found a bump in the road. I decided to treat myself to a mini- super small pastry ( cookie size) and all of the sugar in it made me sick. I guess my body went into sugar shock. My message to all: Once your body gets use to no sugar keep it that way because you will pay dearly when the sugar comes back! LOL!

Happy New Years!

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone has had a great New Years because I sure did! I am so hopeful this year and I want to spread that to everyone following my journey. I am cracking down on the fat and really, really monitoring what I am eating. I cannot risk my life anymore because I am so worth it! I have a new motto:

"If someone does not believe in you, don't believe in them because when you don't believe in them what they say does not matter anyway"
